Norcross
Norcross, Georgia Business, Probate and Estate Planning Services
The city of Norcross, located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, is the second oldest city in Gwinnett, County, chartered on October 26, 1870. The city was named after the Hon. Jonathan Norcross. The Cherokee and Creek Indians originally occupied this area but the eastern continental divide played a significant role in the settlement of the City of Norcross. The area grew into a significant passenger coach route and later became a major stop on the Richmond-Danville Railroad, completed just before the chartering of the City. The City grew up around its railroad terminal that still remains in the center of the City, although currently used for commercial purposes rather than as a terminal. The city was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1980.
